Biografias:
CRISTINA LAMAS (1968) vive e trabalha em Lisboa.
Formou-se em artes plásticas no Ar.Co – Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual, onde seguiu o plano de estudos completo em desenho.
Entre 1999 e 2003, foi bolseira da Fundação Oriente para o desenvolvimento de projectos na Índia e no Vietname e, em 2001, foi bolseira da Fundação Luso Americana.
Expõe regularmente em Portugal e no estrangeiro desde 1999.
Actualmente, Cristina Lamas é representada pela Galeria 111, Lisboa.
PEDRO QUINTAS (1972) terminou em 2001 o Curso Avançado de Artes Plásticas e começou a expor com regularidade em exposições individuais e colectivas. Em 2004, iniciou a exploração de suportes como a fotografia digital, o vídeo e os novos media. Entre 2004 e 2007, iniciou um projecto com o compositor Ricardo Guerreiro para explorar a interacção entre a imagem e o som em tempo real de performances.
Pedro Quintas é representado, actualmente, pela Galeria Fernando Santos, Porto.
AGOSTO apresenta mais de 60 desenhos de Cristina Lamas e Pedro Quintas.
Cristina Lamas confirma-nos a sua opção pelo desenho ao retratar o seu mundo de referências e objectos do quotidiano que não se fecham apenas no papel e habitam também a parede da Shiki Miki.
Pedro Quintas deixa a pintura, território a que nos tem habituado, e apresenta uma série de desenhos executados sobre uma edição de 1923 da Bernheim, Renoir Peintre de Nu.
Agosto é um hino ao desenho e à infinidade do campo visual que o mesmo abrange, espelha ou materializa.

Cristina Lamas confirms her preference for drawing as medium to portray her world of references and objects of the quotidian, that not only are closed in paper but also inhabit the wall.
Pedro Quintas leaves painting, a territory which he has made us accustomed to, and introduces various drawings executed by using an edition of Bernheim (1923), Renoir Peintre de Nu.
Agosto is a hymn to drawing and the infinity of the visual field mirrored, materialised and encompassed by this medium.
Biography
CRISTINA LAMAS (1968) lives and works in Lisbon.
She studied plastic arts at Ar.Co – Center of Art and Visual Communication (Lisbon), where she followed the complete study plan in drawing.
Between 1999 and 2003 she was a recipient to the Fundação Oriente for the development of projects in India and Vietnam and in the year 2001 she was a recipient of the Fundação Luso-Americana.
She has exhibited regularly in Portugal and abroad since 1999.
Currently Cristina Lamas is represented by Galeria 111, Lisbon.
PEDRO QUINTAS (1972) finished the Advanced Course of Plastic Arts in 2011 and in the same year he started to exhibit regularly in individual and collective exhibitions. In 2004 he begins to explore the media art like digital photography, video and the new media.
Between 2004 and 2007 he initiated a project with portuguese composer Ricardo Guerreiro to explore an interaction between image and the real time of performance actions.
Pedro Quintas is currently represented by Fernando Santos gallery, Porto.
